The locks opened 15 minutes late which was a bit anxious making as we needed the south-going tide to get to Eyemouth, 43 miles away.
Several hours of a rather lumpy sea and adverse tide later, we arrived into Eyemouth which has a very narrow entrance but a pontoon to tie up against rather than a slimy wall so we thought this was luxury. Still a rather austere fishing harbour which tolerates yachts rather than welcomes them but we had a delicious supper in the Ship Inn (seems to the generic name for pubs on this coastline ..)
