Plenty of time to mooch around Stonehaven waiting for the engine parts to arrive from Falkirk. We needed a new fuel injector pump and two injectors. We had to drain the fuel tank completely, replace the fuel and both fuel filters. We so hoped to leave on Tuesday as the parts arrived that morning but it all took an age although Shaun the engineer was fantastic and did his best to get us going as soon as he could.
Billy Bear the assistant engineer from Brighstone School was a huge help. Here he is with spanner, still wearing his tam o’ shanter, working on the engine.
