Longhope to Wick

Saturday 22 May 2021

Slipped at 1340 with very precise times worked out for various waypoints to cope with the notorious Pentland Firth tides. The new flood E-going stream between the islands of Swona and Stroma was due to start at HWDover -0500 which was 1545.

Here are Susannah’s navigators notes for the day .. they made sense to her ..

All went to plan and we reached 11.5 knots through the islands which is quick for Seahorse 😊😊😊

We passed Duncansby Head, the furthest

north-easterly point of mainland Great Britain
